i taught Koreans for about a year and a half, and last year in particular i was teaching in this Korean academy where i had my most interesting students ^_^ who were also the most "pasaway" students i ever taught. anyway, of course since music is my first passion, i ended up making a song about my everyday encounters with the students, particularly with their homework (since it's a sin to the Koreans for a teacher not to give homework everyday).
The song is both in English and Korean, but mostly in Korean, putting together the usual Korean words and phrases i learned throughout my teaching career ^_^ you'd pick it up too after hearing so much Korean everyday, as well as all the cuss words (which they are very rich of, btw) i wrote the lyrics in original Hangul (korean writing) but i included the translations in the orange texts next to them. the lyrics is really unconventional and exaggerated but the kids loved it (actually even their parents and our boss did). i was requested to choreograph a dance for this with all my male elementary students, and we performed it in last year's Christmas party ^_^
*note: the phrase "
di jul le?" literally meaning "
do you want to die?" is a common expression in Korea used as a witty or joking reply to an disagreeable statement or situation.

disclaimer: i included a melody (without permission) from Hyun Do Yun's "
Saranghet na Bwa" in the intro and some parts for familiarity to the Korean listeners, so obviously i can't sell it unless i change those parts ^_^
enjoy!
