Blog EntryNo, its not Adobe Photoshop.May 9, '08 10:01 AM
for everyone
i just the got COREL X4 set, after believing that they went bankrupt or something coz it took years for it to follow X3. when the whole world uses Adobe, i grew up with Corel so i'm still loyal ^_^ its been awhile since i messed with yet another portrait of mine, and it doesnt quite look like me anymore >_< sorry. i first made a low-bit Vector with 3 colors and then messed with the brush effects (--smudge tool), more brush tools and alot of manual work, including the pencil outlining to get the more "brush colored" look rather than cartoony.

neat! galing-galing! iohann, have u tried using adobe photoshop? alin mas user-friendly? i have corel software, but i have not installed it yet. kc mas sanay ako sa PS. madali ba gumawa ng colored line pop art sa corel (yung parang cartoony-effect)? i've never been successful creating 1 using PS eh. :)

everyone else says Photoshop is easier, but i dunno kc i dont really use it. and ive been using Corel since Corel 7 up until X4 (14) haha so i know all the tricks na. im not sure i know what youre saying (colored line pop art), but if you mean Vectoring and Rotoscoping, COREL has alot of "generated" and auto-processing tools that make it all easy but i think it wont match the quality of one thats manually done layer by layer. i thik PS is better in the manual stuff. but im yet to indulge in PS ^_^
