i was just test-recording for Acoustic guitar mixing, so i ended up putting words in it ^_^ but of course i didn't think much of it, its more of a "freestyle" adlib whatever- comes-to-mind singing ^_^ hehe.. plus me and my fascination with the AutoTune and Vocoder . the AutoTune is the "T-pain" effect (makes you sound kinda robotic) and the Vocoder is that instant-blending effect (the effect Imogen Heap used in "Hide and Seek"), plus some dynamic delay and reverb ^_^

Since i did the vocals live with all the effects, in some parts my PC lagged and i think it skipped. haha, im too lazy to fix it so im sorry about that ^_^ hope you like it.

First of all i would like to thank my dearest brother for his little surprise for my studion -- a brand new electric guitar!

i was woken up one afternoon (after just an hour of sleep) by my brother who told me to go to the other room quickly. i had no idea what was up and why he'd come home on a Friday knowing that he has work that night. so i did. and when i got there, a huge rhombus (you know what a rhombus is right?) box was there, and immediately i knew what was inside ^_^ so i didn't get to sleep anymore... naturally what would you do with a new toy?

...so i came up with this song. after i finished the final guitar tracks and got the first mixdown, all my other past "rock" attempts seemed like wussies. although rock really isnt my genre, but i love listening to heavy hardcore stuff sometimes ^_^

it took awhile for me to find the lyrics i want for this song (again, thanks to a lot of my friends for giving me ideas) although im not too satisfied with the syllabication i came up with in the chorus, but anyway i think it works. the message could be abit misleading given the heaviness of how it is sung, so you might think twice on what the message really is (like is it a positive or a negative song.. ^_^)

so enough on the write up.. hope you like it ^_^

STARE AT THIS AVATAR WHILE LISTENING TO THE SONG

girls from the anime Popotan, also famous as the "Caramell Dansen" dance

(^_^) <-- thats what best describes this song. it's a HAPPY song ^_^

Do you ever have these stock of songs that you listen to just to make you feel happy? mostly by the music (not necessarily the lyrics). I have a bunch. when i'm feeling down i pop up my MP3 player and play some Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, °C-ute, Tanpopo, W, Puffy AmiYumi, or even the oldskool Pizzicato 5's Sweet Soul Revue. If you're not familiar with them thats because they're all JPOP artists ^_^ and im REALLY biased not to mention obsessed with Jpop (or japanese music in general).

so as much as it totally doesn't fit my style of music, it is my dream to produce such 'jpop idol music' sung by those young anime-ish sounding girls (yes, its my dream ^_^).

so anyway, as highly influenced by my obsession with Jpop, i made as song for the sole purpose of making me (or you) happy.

I asked Abbygabby Lim to give me an idea for my next song, and thats where i got the happy thoughts ^_^ i dedicate this song to her coz she makes me trippy hehe like RC Cola and mantika, of course only we would know what that means ^_^

The lyrics is really shallow. i intended it to be that way^_^
This is my version of it, but it's originally to be sung by MIKA NIKA from Project Loli. I'll be posting it in a few days, after we record it ^_^

The message of this song is straight out.

this is my 7th and probably the last ever song i'm going to write for this person.

of course she never asked for it. she's probably thinking "is it my fault that i'm too desirable? such girls have all the right to treat such dreamers (me) like dust"

and of course everything is my loss, and this song is totally pointless ^_^ but hell its fun to be bitter sometimes, making goodie-good songs all the time gets boring ^_^

--this song took 3 days in the making, finished the final recording 4:54am of Oct 19th. the toughest part i guess was the lead guitar adlib in the end, and the vocal recording of the semi-roaring choruses ^_^ since im not really used to that kind of singing.. hehehe ^_^ Enjoy!

ioHann - More Than Ordinary (ioHann attempts Alternative..hahaha)

yup, right. the guitar-driven Alternative genre isn't really my thing, but i'd love to try ^_^ i guess this is my best Alternative song as compared to my old "attempts" ^_^ and of course i couldn't go all out Alternative so i added a little personal touch, thus resulting in the weirdo verse with a reggae-like bass line (hahaha, sorry can't help it), and that syncopated beat i love messin around with ^_^ but the chorus in general sounds like the typical alternative rock-type i think. anyway.. this genre isnt really in my expertise, im just experimenting around ^_^ so i'd really appreciate the feedback ^_^

i was waiting up for my sister to come home when i started to play around some guitar riffs to kill time. that was around 12am. by around 3:55am i completed the music. by 4:31am i finished writing the lyrics, by 6:30am i finished the vocal recording ^_^ i think i finished everything in a matter of 6 hours, thats a pretty good record for me ^_^ anyway, hope u like it!

just a heads up... i really can't sing jazz. i'm currently looking for someone who can sing this song more decent than i ever could (hehe, sorry) so please bear with my singing in the mean time...

i made this song for Buena Carla Zaldivia, i owed her a song since way back in college and she specifically requested it to be a lounge jazz type. i love jazz! almost everything i do is influenced by jazz, i just can't sing it -_- did the music first, i came up with the lyrics 3 days after the music. haha, the lyrics.
