This time i tried to focus a little more on the details in more palette colors. still not the best quality, but i did it in less than an hour so i didnt have time to vector more details and editing. this vector portrait has no permission whatsoever from Alodia Gosiengfiao, nor do i have any copyrights on it. not much of a disclaimer, but her pics just totally pwn for vectoring :P i like this better than my first Alodia post. i kinda changed the colors of her eyes too.
still in my cartoonification spree, i was inspired enough to do requests ^_^ it still isnt as smooth, but it's part of the whole artsy look. here's my latest work.
you probably noticed that i'm in a rotoscoping / vectoring / cartoonifying spree lately. i've done close-ups and portraits, so this time i tried to do full body/ far shots. I picked the girls from the UPLB Jocks for models >_< i kinda de-paletted the coloring to make it look more cartoony rather than all out gradient shading. anyway, this is my first attempt so still alot more to improve. (left to right) Meryll, Angge, Karen, and Janjan. (uplbjocks.multiply.com)
I tried to take Vectoring to a more complex level, using the whole rotoscoping technique, i got the hang of playing around with manual painting / outlining and applying brush effects manually.. it's fun ^_^ and rather than messing around with my protrait like i usually do (how vain), i did a portrait of Nikki and Lilly Abigail ^_^
Since i'm only using a mouse, it gets pretty hard to be accurate, plus the fact that i did this in about 30 mins... anyway i tried to make it look as close as the original pic :P
...and of course Lilly Abigail, now you finally get to see what she looks like ^_^
I tried something different from the usual vector-style rotoscoping i do. this one's kinda mixed ^_^ Corel Draw X3 for the bitmap tracing and Corel Photopain X3 fot the painting.hahaha sorry im so vain, i keep on doing my own portraits :p
so why do i post here if all my rotoscopes are in an album already? well its because Multiply resizes the pics and yu wont get the full effect ^_^ haha.this is David. I used a lesser palette and layers for the one on the right.
i wanted this to look more like a Vector portrait so i left out alot of details and manually drew the eyes, nose, and mouth ^_^ im too lazy for the real stuff ^_^ so its like half-rotoscope half-vector or sumthin ^_^
thing is, everyone is Rotoscoping in Adobe Photoshop (btw, this technique of photo editing is called Rotoscoping) and thanks to Josh Matic and some of my other artsy friends, i tried my hand on it too ^_^ but i've been doing this similar technique years before already, only i was using another program. i tried checking all the tutorials and HowTo's on rotoscoping in the net, everyone is using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. I tried something else ^_^There's a tool for Corel X3 called Corel Trace (which is a separate program) as well as Corel Draw X3 where you could get all your layers done in like 5 minutes, edge smoothing, cleaning up and all. then i used Corel Photopaint X3 for the manually drawn lines and some final touches^_^ so like, maybe everything to the finishing touch was done in less than 30mins. im not satisfied with the quality though, of course its not as good as the manually Photoshopped version that takes over 3 hours to do ^_^ if u wanna see what the good stuff is like, check JOSH's Page. That's Jewel (hi Jewel, sorry ginamit ko portrait mo ^_^ astig kc e). i used 2 different layer techniques on these two portraits. i like the one on the right though, it looks more like a vector portrait ^_^
